Seller Tools in AuctionWorx Mobile
August 12, 2026 · 6 min read
Most auction platforms treat the mobile app as a buyer’s tool: bid, browse, win, and manage everything else from a desktop. We built AuctionWorx Mobile differently. Sellers and consignors do real work from their phones, creating auctions, managing lots, checking sales reports, and handling problems as they come up.
What sellers can do
Seller features are included on the Buyer + Seller and Buyer + Seller Pro plans. Compare the pricing page to see exactly which tools are included at each level.
Creating and editing events and lots
You can create a new event directly from the app: title, description, dates, categories, and any custom fields your platform uses. Publish when you’re ready, and buyers see it immediately.
Lots work the same way. Add photos from the camera or gallery, write the title and description, set the starting bid, fill in any custom fields, and publish. You can do from your phone what you’d otherwise do at a desk.
Editing is just as direct. Fix a typo, adjust a starting bid because a consignor changed their mind, and the change is live right away.
Fixed-price listings follow the same pattern: create, edit, publish, all from the app.
Photography made simple
The app lets you upload photos straight from your phone’s camera or gallery. Add multiple photos per lot, arrange them in order, and crop as needed. For auctions held at a physical location, you can photograph lots on site as you go, which skips the step of moving photos from a camera to a computer first.
Consignor management
If you run a consignment operation, you can manage those relationships from your phone: view active consignors, track their statements, manage fees, and set preferences without sitting down at a desktop.
That matters when a consignor calls mid-event with a question about their account. You pull up their details on the spot and answer.
Ending auctions early
Sometimes something goes wrong, or a consignor changes their mind, and you need to close a lot before its scheduled end. The app handles it: the lot closes, the winning bid (if there is one) is recorded, and invoices generate automatically. You don’t have to wait for the clock.
Sales reports and accounting
After an event closes, you need to know what sold, what didn’t, and what consignors are owed. The app shows sales reports with the breakdown: sold lots, unsold inventory, total revenue, and consignor statements. Sellers use this to see what worked; consignors use it to check what their items brought and what fees apply. The features page has the full list of what’s included.
Admin-only tools: audit bid history
Admins and platform owners on the Buyer + Seller and Pro plans can audit bid history from the app, seeing every bid placed on a lot: who placed it, when, and at what amount.
That’s useful when a bidder claims a bid didn’t register, or when you suspect something’s off. Pull the bid history and see exactly what happened.
Working with your consignors
Consignors with app access can manage their own events and lots: photograph inventory, set starting bids, track performance. They’re not dependent on you to list everything, so they can be more active about getting their own items up.
You still control what publishes, that’s a platform-level setting, but consignors with app access become partners in the process rather than a queue waiting on your team.
Real-world use cases
A weekly live auction: you photograph lots throughout the event, upload as you go, and publish during the preview window. Your team prices and categorizes while the event runs instead of doing it all afterward. Bids come in during preview, giving you real data on interest before the live session starts, and if a lot isn’t moving, you can update the description or image before bidding opens.
A consignment platform: consignors log in from their phones and list their own items, photographing, writing descriptions, and setting starting prices. You review before publishing. That spreads the listing work out and gets inventory live faster, since consignors build their own catalog and you approve it in minutes instead of creating every listing yourself.
A large event with several auctioneers: one person tracks sales reports as the event progresses, another handles consignor questions, another audits bid history if something comes up, all from separate phones. A dispute over a bid gets investigated and resolved in real time instead of sitting until after the event.
For a small auction house with three or four people on staff, this means you’re not stuck waiting for someone to get back to the office. The event is live, questions are coming in, and you’re answering them from the floor.
Which plan includes seller tools
Seller features are on the Buyer + Seller plan ($2,299 one-time) and the Buyer + Seller Pro plan ($2,699). The Buyer-only plan ($1,799) is for bidders and browsing; it doesn’t include seller tools.
If you need to create events, manage lots, or handle consignments from your phone, you need at least Buyer + Seller. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
What Pro adds on top
Both the Buyer + Seller plan and the Pro plan include everything described above: event and lot creation, consignor management, ending auctions early, sales reports, and bid history audits. Pro adds a separate set of buyer-facing features on top: advanced search, recent search, swipe navigation between lots, multi-language support, and AI Title & Description Generation for writing lot copy. We cover that last one in more depth in how AI helps write auction listing descriptions.
None of those Pro additions are seller tools in the sense of managing your auction operations; they’re aimed at how bidders search and browse, and at speeding up how you write listings. If seller operations are your priority and you don’t need those extras, Buyer + Seller covers everything in this post. If your bidders are international or you want AI-assisted listing copy, Pro is worth the extra $400.
Managing your platform from anywhere
The advantage of seller tools in the mobile app is that you’re not tied to a desk. You can run an auction, respond to a consignor issue, check sales as they land, and audit a bid dispute, all from the same device.
Try the demo apps to see these workflows yourself. Both demos are built on the Buyer + Seller plan, so you can walk through event creation, lot management, and reporting on a real phone, though the AI listing tools and other Pro-only features won’t appear there since the demos aren’t running the Pro build.
